Response to Adam G’s Notion to See the Ocean, Tony and I
Creative writing 9am class
Dear Adam,
Cool story...it was very personal and gave me a glimpse into your life...its funny how much you can assume about a person from a story about a road trip. I found I could hear the frogs and see the moose. I even felt the water as you floated in it. The only thing I was confused about was the second paragraph....It kind of didnt make much sense. I reread it a couple of times and it was very confusing. Hope this helps

Response to Eric Cook’s Brisk poem
Creative writing 9am class
Oct 5th 2008
Dear Eric,
DEEP....Wow...I liked the premise...the dichotomy of winter and possibly depression. It was an intense poem. The only thing I would change would be the 5th line from the bottom. I would try to come up with a more intese way to recall “brain freeze

Dear Robert,
Awesome story....I loved the way I felt like I was there, it was very descriptive...your use of imagery was professional. I liked the build up..I thought for a split second noone was going to jump and was glad Nick did at the end.....I didn’t read it myself, I had my boyfriend read it to me so I could get past some of the typo’s. I would like to read more about Nick and Holly’s potential love affair. That to me is a good short story when I want more. Nice work. It seemed real

response to Child from the side by Roody Jean-Baptiste

Dear Roody,
Wow interesting, I got a sense of empowerment from the poem. I especially liked the 8th and 9th lines...very strong. I got a sense you need to get out of a shell that you have created or that you feel you have been placed in...I hope that is the reaction you were hoping for from the reader...it is a little heavy. I had to look up a couple words (tippling and approbation) Kudos I love to learn new words. I was curious why you used the word impotent body..what did you mean by that?

Response to The ILLusion by Desha Gregory

Dear Desha,
The poem was very interesting, it was existential to say the least. I think these are all things we at some point in our lives think about. The beginning 4 lines were very sad, I was wondering if thats the tone you wanted to set. I felt a twinge pain and sadness for you. It made me feel as if you didnt want to be alive. I was also wondering why you spelled illusion with the first three letters capitolized? The poem made me sad.
